When I photograph any ‘personality’ I do some research into them, to help me to tailor my shoot ideas to suit them as an individual. When I was asked to photograph Amy, I watched some episodes of ‘Signed By Katie Price’; the show which brought her into the public eye and that she went on to win. On the show, Amy exudes elegance and confidence and her dream to become a high-end model. I therefore wanted to come up with a creative concept with was very ‘fashion’, something that Amy didn’t already have in her portfolio. Additionally, because Amy is new to the industry I had a think about where I would place her, wanting to deliver photos that would enhance her portfolio. However, whilst I wanted the shots to feel ‘fashion’, I wanted to capture Amy and the photos to still reflect her so I didn’t want to take the shoot too edgy or quirky. I wanted the images to exude strength and sex appeal, but for the sexiness to come from the attitude, elegance and confidence in Amy, rather than anything crude.
I brought in Natalia Maxwell an amazing hair stylist to create some big, beautiful curls with lots of movement and gloss that could be lifted by the wind. For make up, I asked the talented Emily Jane Williams, to work from a palette of greens, golds and browns, so that all the colours on set complimented each other. The first look that we did used a gorgeous pastel ‘French Connection’ dress, that was covered in studs. The stylist, Sarah Katchis, chose this for the first look because it was soft and feminine and allowed Amy to play with the shape and show her character. Our second look employed a gold bandage dress from ‘Celeb Boutique’ which was teamed with a maroon faux fur shrug and Emily Jane Williams, the MUA, added a plum lip to tie the look together. This look was very luxurious and glossy to show a more sultry side. Photographically, I used an olive green background and wind and smoke to add another dimension to the looks.
The shoot was filmed by Fashion TV, which was really exciting and fantastic to get to talk about your ideas and vision.

This week I photographed the lovely David @ MOT. He also appeared on the final episode of ‘Take Me Out’ this week. I balanced sunlight and stobe to create a sunkissed dark/contrasty look.

Here are some photos from my recent shoot for Quontum. We coloured smoke to create a club like atmosphere in studio; I loved the final effect!

Here is one of my favourite edits from a recent lingerie shoot in this stunning Stella McCartney set. I experimented with mixing long exposures with flash and bleeding light streams into the shot.

In January I did a lookbook shoot for the Tiffany Rose Spring/Summer 2012 collection. We shot on location at a stunning London location house over two days with two gorgeous models. It was a fantastic team and a lovely shoot to be a part of.
Take a look at some of my favourite shots…

I recently co-ordinated and shot a lookbook for amazing company OnePiece. I wanted the images to feel fresh and fun whilst still having a quirky, fashion edge.

Here is a shot from a recent lingerie test with stunning model Abbi Hart. We went for a really soft, pretty look to compliment the set; using flared light and roses to give that Spring/Summer fresh feeling.

Here is a portrait that I took of stunning Jessica Wright from hit tv show, ‘The Only Way Is Essex’.
